Middle School Lunchtime Drop-in

Lagunitas Middle School students can drop into the Wellness Center during their lunch period to reconnect to their wellbeing with the support of trusted Community Center adults. Students can access various wellness/coping tools in a quiet and calm alternative to the hustle and bustle of the playground

Middle School Empowerment Group

This afterschool group offers middle schoolers and opportunity to connect with one another, build closeness, and establish community through a peer-counseling style group. Facilitated by Cory van Gelder participants will lead the direction of the group, empowering their sense of ownership over their wellbeing.

Rainbow Playgroup

Happening each Tuesday and Friday, Rainbow Playgroup is FREE and designed for caretakers, mothers, grandmothers, fathers, grandfathers and friends to have a safe place for their little ones (ages 0-5) to play and socialize. Our new Rainbow Playgroup Coordinator, Perla de los Santos, hosts with lots of fun activities. The Marin County Free Library Learning Bus comes every other Tuesday from 10:30 -11:15 a.m.

Zoila’s Childcare

Named after the matriarch of the Valley, Zoila Berardi, Zoila’s Childcare Center is a licensed childcare facility for TK-3rd graders. The Van drops Nicasio students off right in front of the facility and students are met by a staff person at the door. Zoila’s offers fun, engaging, and supervised childcare that builds upon age appropriate learning and child development. Healthy snacks are provided every day.

Valley After School Tutoring (VAST)

The Community Center’s award-winning Valley After School Tutoring (VAST) program offers reasonably priced, one-on-one tutoring and group homework clubs to local students. We have skilled tutors across all subjects and grade levels (K-8th). Whether your student needs specific support or just a quiet and encouraging environment to complete their homework, VAST has what they need! Many students attend Zoila’s or the LOFT and include a VAST tutoring session as part of their day.

Room 6 in the Lagunitas School Enrichment Hub

The LOFT

The LOFT, located above the Lagunitas Community Gym, offers a seamless transition from in-school time to after-school time for 4th through 8th graders, and serves as a stopover for many students who participate in after-school sports or extracurriculars.The LOFT is an awesome place to hang and students love it - with crafts, games, sports, and more, what’s not to love!? Our staff make use of the Community Gym and the surrounding outdoor space to create an experience for students that is far beyond childcare, while also prioritizing safety and supervision. Healthy snacks are provided every day.

Youth Job Training Program

The San Geronimo Valley Community Center’s Youth Job Training Program gives participants hands-on experience working in a community setting. Our year-round program has sessions beginning in Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring each year.

We offer continuing opportunities for youth to engage in new learning environments. Middle School and High School students are eligible to apply for Internship A (volunteer) or Internship B (paid stipend of $200 to 6th-8th & $300 to 9th & up) if you have previously completed Internship A.

Holiday Camps

Holiday Camp is offered when school is closed for holidays and teacher workdays and provides parents with a safe and fun option for their kids! Holiday Camp will be held in The LOFT above the gym for K-5th grades. The fee is a suggested donation of $50/day. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Summer Camps

Join us for Summer Fun at the Community Center! Located on the beautiful Lagunitas School District campus in the LOFT Youth Center and take advantage of the surrounding open space for fun and exploration! Campers learn sports, games, crafts, cooking and get to adventure to local farms, ranches, beaches, parks, and more during weekly field trips. We are a unique camp for ages 5-10 fosters multi-age cooperative play.

Summer Bridge Kindergarten Readiness

Summer Bridge is a school readiness program intended to support your child’s transition and promote a successful start in kindergarten. Pre-registration is required and full participation in the 5 week program is highly encouraged as each week builds upon itself and creates a sense of continuity for the children.

NextGen

Serving young adults aged 16-25, the NextGen program creates opportunities for leadership and connection.

NextGen Peer Support Group (Ages 18-30)

Fill your cup through virtual peer counseling for connection and support. Learn peer counseling skills and participate with other people your age as together, you navigate the various challenges of growing up and entering adulthood.

Greenstitch

Climate Action Internship: Greenstitch is a committed group of teens working together to educate and empower themselves and the community about the climate crisis. Interns put on local events, participate in Bay Area climate actions, and create art to motivate people to take action on the climate crisis.

East Portico

Weekly meetings on Thursdays and Fridays from 2:30pm-4:30pm
